When I was living in Florence a friend had opened a hotel called J.K. Place. There are lots of charming small hotels in Florence so I wasn't really expecting anything different. However, when I walked in I was stunned at how every inch was decorated immaculately. Even though they opened over 8 years ago they were ahead of their time, with crisp white well tailored upholstery, chic black accents, bold white busts, polished task lamps, gilded framed art and art books everywhere . It was as if very corner had a story and I immediately wanted to explore.
