Being a LA Lady myself going to Palm Springs is a common occurrence for me. I usually always stay in Palm Desert but a few months ago I decided to try something new and stay at Hotel Lautner. This four bedroom desert hideaway use to be The Desert Hot Springs Motel designed by John Lautner himself in 1947. It was bought in 2008 by Tracy Beckmann and Ryan Trowbridge and beautifully renovated. They kept the original structure and filled the rooms with original mid-century furniture and accessories. I honestly felt as if Sinatra was going to walk out of the room next door. It was fabulous!
From the bathroom tiles to the cactus selection the details were precise and true to Lautner's vision.
